Fifteen years after singing and releasing ‘Turn The Lights Off,’ Jon’s voice is going viral once again, captivating new audiences and taking social media by storm. With its newfound success in the modern electronic sphere comes a brand-new version from Jon, rising star Justė, and the biggest Danish DJ of the new generation, Jaxstyle – bridging the timeless and the contemporary.

Together, the Denmark-based artists dive into the exploding Speed Garage sound. Jon’s re-recorded vocals deliver a blast from the past, wrapped in a fresh electronic production that represents the future of club music. ‘Turn The Lights Off’ is set to resonate with global dance audiences, equally fit for radio, streaming, and the nightclub sound systems.

Not knowing whether he could still deliver a world-class performance after years away from the vocal booth, Jon returned to the studio to re-record the vocals – and to his surprise, the result sounded even better than the original.

Thanks to influencers across Eastern Europe using the track on platforms such as TikTok, the old version gained unprecedented momentum – soaring through the Shazam charts, reaching #5 on the Global Dance Chart, #11 on the Global Viral Chart, and #39 on the Overall Global Chart. It also hit #1 on both the Viral and Overall charts in Ukraine, #1 on the Viral and #2 on the Overall Chart in the Netherlands, and entered Spotify’s Viral Top 50 in Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Ukraine (#1).

What better way to celebrate this success than releasing a brand-new 2025 version alongside Eastern Europe’s most exciting newcomer, Justė, and Denmark’s brightest new DJ star, Jaxstyle.

“Fifteen years ago, I went to the studio and recorded ‘Turn The Lights Off.’ Now I did it again with Justė and Jaxstyle – two of the most talented and driven artists I’ve met in my 23 years in music,” says Jon. “Reviving this song with them feels like closing a beautiful circle, by using a song that has meant so much to me in my career, to launch the careers of these super talents.”

Jon originally rose to fame after winning Popstars Denmark in 2002, achieving the fastest platinum-certified debut album in Danish music history. Though retired from singing in recent years, he remains a major figure in the European club scene as founder and CEO of ii.dk, a leading group of labels, management, publishing, and booking companies representing international artists and songwriters such as Martin Jensen, HEDEGAARD, Brandon Beal, and Bjørnskov.

Having released her debut single ‘World Of Wonders’ on Night Drive on October 31st, 23-year-old Lithuanian artist Justė is spreading her wings in the electronic music scene. Her dedication to her craft shines through in every project – whether performing to thousands on stage or building her discography track by track. Recently signed individually to Spinnin’ Records for her upcoming singles, Justė is one to watch, set to become one of the most promising new female talents in the scene.
